Morata’s father, agent meets Real Madrid to force Manchester United move

Alvaro Morata’s father and agent met with Real Madrid chiefs for face-to-face talks on Monday, as the striker tries to push through a move to Manchester United.
Juanma Lopez, Morata’s representative, and the player’s father, Alfonso Morata, arrived at the Santiago Bernabeu around 11am, as they sought to reach a compromise over the transfer fee.
According to Spanish sports newspaper, AS, the meeting lasted just under a hour. It was however not certain if both parties reached an agreement.
The European champions have been holding out for at least £75 million for the 24 year-old, who scored 20 goals in 43 appearances last season.
Morata is eager to complete the transfer, before United fly out for their pre-season tour on Sunday.
